Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving the Pacific Southwest has awarded Dale Carnegie of Orange County the 2021 BBB Torch Award for Ethics in Orange County. This distinguished award honors businesses that go above and beyond to operate with integrity and raise awareness about marketplace trust.

“Ethics is the foundation of our teaching and coaching methodology. Being awarded the BBB Ethics award validates the values and principles that we stand for in our local office”, said Geri Cerkovnik, CEO. “We understand the importance of our customers and not only want to meet their expectations but exceed them. This carries through to our core beliefs in giving back to the community through multiple channels such as: free webinars to help people develop and become better versions of themselves, serving on non-profit boards, volunteering in the community, and working with people who have special needs. Treating people ethically and operating with ethics is the value that permeates through the entire team.”

Winning businesses have displayed an outstanding level of commitment to ethics and trust by illustrating the character of their organization’s leadership, how an authentic culture is being fostered, how their company prioritizes its relationship with customers, and the impact the organization is making in their community.

“This is the fifth year BBB has been recognizing outstanding companies in Orange County for their solid commitment to doing things the right way,” said Shelley Bradley, Director of Signature Events for BBB Serving the Pacific Southwest.

“The Orange County economy is filled with diverse industries, each excelling in their own unique ways. To highlight these exceptional companies, BBB was proud to host the inaugural Torch Award for Ethics celebration in Newport Beach, dedicated to the area’s top ethical businesses,” said Bradley.

The signature event was held at the Hyatt Regency John Wayne Airport where winners, finalists, and community members celebrated the importance of a trustworthy marketplace. Keynote speaker Bob Dalton, Founder, and CEO of Sackcloth & Ashes, spoke about entrepreneurship and social sustainability as his mission-driven company donates a blanket to a local homeless shelter for each one purchased.
