Irvine Councilmember Farrah Khan to Address Business, Community Leaders at Greater Irvine Chamber

Irvine City Councilmember Farrah Khan will address business and community leaders at the Greater Irvine Chamber Government Affairs Committee meeting on Thursday, April 4, 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. She will discuss her priorities and vision for the city.

Elected to the Irvine City Council in November 2018, Councilmember Khan has worked extensively with numerous community organizations in Irvine and Orange County. She has served on the Steering Committee for the Irvine Global Village Festival, is a CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) volunteer with the Irvine Police Department, and is an active member of the Irvine Rotary Club. She also serves on the faith council for United Way.

Councilmember Khan was appointed as an IrvineCommunity Services Commissioner in 2014, through which she became familiar with the city’s parks, open spaces, land development, amenities, and employees. She has served as a PTA member for Irvine schools, and, along with her husband, is a Legacy Partner with the Irvine Public School Foundation

Councilmember Khan is a small-business owner and executive director of the Newport Mesa Irvine Interfaith Council. She previously served eight years as a regulatory affairs manager for a major biotech company. She is a graduate of University of California, Davis.
