The Alzheimer’s Association had the honor of being the non-profit beneficiary from the Orange County Soccer Club’s (OCSC) game on Saturday Aug. 4, in which they played against the Swope Park Rangers.
For the first time in the team’s history, all players wore special purple laces to bring awareness to the Alzheimer’s Association. “We hope this prominent activation with our players and technical staff will give greater attention to the Alzheimer Association’s cause,” says OCSC Sr. Director of Marketing, Austin Hurwitz.
OCSC will also be hosting a walk team during the Walk to #EndALZ on Sept. 29 at the Orange County Great Park. “We are so pleased to that OCSC is part of our Orange County community and is helping to bring greater awareness to the fight against Alzheimer’s,” says Alzheimer’s Association Executive Director, Anne Grey.
Orange County Soccer Club is Irvine’s only professional soccer team and official affiliate partner of the Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) of Major League Soccer (MLS). For more information www.alz.org/oc
